  1. Guidelines for Responsible Gambling
    • Avoid Using Gambling as an Income Source: Gambling should be treated as a form of entertainment, not a method to earn money.
    • Gamble with Funds You're Prepared to Lose: Only use disposable income for gambling to prevent financial harm.
    • Implement Strict Budget Limits: Decide on a gambling budget and adhere to it without exception.
    • Establish Time Boundaries for Gambling: Set a clear time limit for your gambling activities and stick to it.
    • Resist the Temptation to Recover Losses: Chasing losses often leads to further financial detriment.
    • Avoid Gambling Under Emotional Distress: Refrain from gambling when feeling lonely, upset, fatigued, or irate.
    • Seek Other Solutions for Problems or Pain: Gambling should not be used as an escape from personal issues.
    • Limit Alcohol Consumption When Gambling: Excessive drinking can impair judgment and decision-making.
    • Combine Gambling with Other Enjoyable Activities: Ensure gambling doesn't overshadow other leisure activities or social engagements.
  2. Debunking Common Gambling Myths
    • Myth of Turning Luck Around: Each bet is independent, and the chances of winning do not increase by simply continuing to gamble.
    • Near Misses Indicate an Upcoming Win: The misconception of being "due" for a win after a near miss is a psychological trap without basis in how gambling outcomes are determined.
    • Relying on Luck or Superstitions: Outcomes in gambling are unpredictable and not influenced by lucky charms or superstitions.
    • Belief in a Winning System: No system can guarantee wins in gambling, as events are random and unpredictable.
  3. Risks Associated with Gambling
    • Financial Risks: Gambling can lead to significant financial instability, including debt accumulation, reliance on loans, and potential legal and housing issues.
    • Health Risks: Gambling problems can lead to emotional and physical health issues, such as stress, anxiety, sleep disturbances, and other stress-related conditions.
    • Job Risks: A gambling issue can adversely affect professional life, leading to absenteeism, decreased productivity, and misuse of work time.
  4. Recognizing a Gambling Problem: Identifying a gambling issue early can help in seeking timely intervention. Here are signs that may indicate a gambling problem.
    • Persistent Preoccupation: Constantly thinking about gambling, including planning the next opportunity to gamble or ways to get money for gambling.
    • Financial Strain: Experiencing financial difficulties such as borrowing money, selling personal items, or incurring significant debts due to gambling.
    • Emotional Withdrawal and Mood Fluctuations: Feeling irritable, restless, or experiencing mood swings when not gambling.
    • Increasing Need for Excitement: Seeking out gambling as a primary source for excitement or action.
    • Defensive Attitude About Gambling: Becoming defensive or unwilling to discuss gambling habits.
    • Alienation: Withdrawing from family, friends, and usual social activities.
    • Inability to Reduce or Stop Gambling: Unsuccessful attempts to cut back or stop gambling altogether.
    • Lying About Gambling Activities: Hiding the extent of gambling by lying to friends and family.
    • Engaging in Risky Behaviors: Taking significant risks, possibly even considering illegal activities to finance gambling.
    • Suicidal Thoughts or Actions: Experiencing thoughts of self-harm or suicide because of gambling-related despair.
      • If you or a loved one is experiencing thoughts of suicide or any behavioral health crisis, please call 988.
As an additional measure, Saracen Casino Resort offers self exclusion on both the online sportsbook and retail casino operations. Players are also able to set various limits with our online sportsbetting platform, BetSaracen. These limits apply to BetSaracen only and do not encompass wagering on the physical retail casino, Saracen Casino Resort.

Self-Exclusion and Limitations Mechanisms: Players may, at any time, set daily, weekly, and/or monthly deposit limits. Once a player has reached their set limit, they will be unable to continue depositing. Players can decrease their deposit limit at any time; conversely, they are able to increase their deposit limit after the previous time limit has expired.
