CASH OUT FEATURE
The Cash Out feature, which is built into the Bet Slip, allows users the opportunity to settle a wager before the event reaches completion, eliminating the potential risk of waiting out the result of the wager. In doing so, you accept a payout offer that is less than the potential max win of the wager. You can potentially lock up a guaranteed profit or you can cut your losses early depending on the extenuating circumstances surrounding the wager. This feature is a great tool to utilize to help keep you in the game longer!
Note: The Cash Out feature is NOT guaranteed to be available for every wager. All Cash Out offers are final at the time the offer is accepted, regardless of the event’s final results.
TAXABLES
THE BET TYPES
MONEYLINE
Choosing the winner of a game outright is what the money line is all about.
Example: Arkansas is listed as the favorite at –190, meaning you would need to wager $190 to win $100 (total return of $290). Adversely, Ole Miss is listed as the underdog at +160, meaning you would win $160 for a $100 wager (total return of $260). Note: all bet sizes $1 and above are excepted.
SPREAD
Those who bet the spread do so by wagering on the winning or losing margin of a team. As a result, if you bet on the underdog (represented by the "-"), they must win by more than the displayed margin. For your underdog ("+") bet to pay off, they must either win the game outright or lose by fewer points than the spread indicates.
Example: Arkansas is listed as the favorite at –4 (-110), meaning you would need to wager $110 to win $100 (total return of $210), and Arkansas would need to win by 5 or more points to win this wager. Adversely, Ole Miss is listed as the underdog at +4(-110), meaning you would need to wager $110 to win $100 (total return of $210), and Ole Miss could not lose by more than three points for this wager to be considered a win. In this exact scenario, if the margin of victory is exactly 4, that is considered a push, the wager is void, and all funds returned. Note: all bet sizes $1 and above are excepted.
Note: When using half a point, the possibility of a push is eliminated, thus each wager is either a win or a loss.
TOTAL
A wager on the cumulative score of both teams is known as an "over/under" or "total." A wager on the over requires a total score greater than the posted total, while a wager on the under predicts a total score lower than the posted total. If the final score is the same as the posted total, then the bet is nullified and the money is returned.
Example: Wagering on the total is as simple as choosing the over (O=over) or under (U=under) the listed total. In this example, the listed total is 48 (-110), meaning you would need to wager $110 to win $100 (total return of $210) on either the over or under. Note: all bet sizes $1 and above are excepted.
PROP (PROPOSITION)
Bets on propositions (or "props") are wagers that have nothing to do with the final score of a game. Player props are related to a player's performance in an event.
Player and game props are both available on BetSaracen.
PARLAY
Betting on two or more picks at once is called a parlay. Each leg (or pick) of a parlay bet must come out on top for the bet to be considered a winner.
Note: Should a push occur among the outcomes of any of the legs in a parlay, the odds on the remaining legs would be recalculated to reflect the elimination of the tied leg.
SGP (SAME GAME PARLAY)
Differences Between SGPs and Traditional Parlays
Same Game Parlays are relatively new to sports betting and are available due to the rapid growth of sports betting technology and modeling. In the past, sportsbooks didn’t allow correlated combinations to be made because there wasn’t reliable code logic to handle these types of calculations. Now that this technology is available, we’ve been able to offer more combinations than ever before - especially since these types of wagers are in high demand by the betting public.
Unlike traditional parlays where legs are independent, SGPs often involve legs that are correlated (e.g., a player’s performance may directly influence the team’s result). For example: If you SGP "Player X to score a touchdown" and "Team Y to win," these outcomes are not independent, as the player’s performance can impact the team's chances of winning.
How SGP Payouts Are Calculated
Because of correlation, the SGP engine adjusts the payout to reflect the higher likelihood of an event to occur or not occur. This means the payout is often lower than what a traditional parlay calculator would show.
It's important that users understand what correlated outcomes are, and how it impacts their bets. A correlated outcomes means that if one bet wins, the other bet is also likely to win. Similarly, when one bet loses, the other is likely to lose. This is why the payout for SGP with correlated bets is lower than for a standard parlay where events are independent.
Traditional Parlay Calculators for SGPs (and why your payout may appear 'wrong')
If you try to compare a SGP payout using a parlay calculator, it is important to understand that those calculators do not account for correlated outcomes. SGP odds calculations are extremely complex models that take in account the weight of correlations depending on what selections you place in a SGP.
Same Game Parlays differ from traditional parlays in that certain legs may be correlated. For example, if one leg directly influences another, the payout will be adjusted accordingly. Payouts are calculated based on these correlations, which often reduce the overall payout. This is why it may differ from the payout shown in a standard parlay calculator, which does not account for correlations.
LIVE BETS OR IN-GAME BETTING
Participate in the game even if you arrive late. Bets made during the course of a game that has already begun are known as "live bets." The odds displayed on BetSaracen are dynamic and change as the game progresses.
Note: Odds can alter at any time, and they typically do so frequently in real time. To quickly place a bet, turn on the "Always accept odds movement" switch on the bet slip. This will allow you to submit bets without validating changes to the odds. Before placing a wager, toggle off to verify any changes to the odds.
Many of our live markets settle after the game has ended since bet settlement is not always instantaneous.
ODDS BOOST
There are ad hoc odds boosts that can be found under the "Specials" tab. For bigger possible rewards, they give higher odds on some bet choices.
BetSaracen is currently giving a 10% profit boost to any parlay with three legs or more and odds of -200 or higher.
ALTERNATE LINES
You can select your own spread or total using alternate lines.
Note: Most alternative spreads and totals are added to parlays rather than typically being bet as straight wagers.
FUTURES
Futures are bets on events that won't happen for a few weeks to a few months in the future. Championships in the league, conference, division, or even individual player levels are the most common examples here.
ROUND ROBIN
In order to place many parlays simultaneously, a round robin is a simple solution. Each conceivable parlay combination within the chosen wagers is treated as a separate bet when a round robin is placed. To win the round robin, it is not necessary to win every parlay.
Adding three or more selections to your bet slip and clicking the Round Robin button will place a round robin wager. Here, bets are displayed in various increments of two, three, and so on. These numbers represent the number of bets you're making in each separate parlay.
TEASER
You can add or take away points from a spread or total with a teaser. For a teaser to be valid, you must pick at least two teams, and all your picks must beat the spread for the teaser to win. Teaser points are different for each sport.
Note: If one of the choices in a teaser was a tie, that leg would be taken out of the teaser and the odds would be changed to reflect that. If there is a tie in one leg of a 2-team teaser, two legs of a 3-team teaser, etc., and only one leg covers, then the teaser is a push and bets are returned.

What you need to know:
For wagering purposes, one full set must be completed for money line wagers to stand. If less than one set is completed due to retirement or disqualification, all money line wagers will be considered void.
The winner of the match is the participant declared the victor by the umpire of the match.
If a match is completed, without retirement or disqualification, all wagers stand. A delay in the start of a match will not affect the standing of wagers, nor will a suspension, as long as play is resumed, and the match completed.
All wagers stand regardless of any change of venue, court surface, changing from indoors to outdoors and vice versa.
All futures bets have action. Should a player withdraw before a tournament begins, or retire during a tournament, bets on that player to win the tournament will be settled as a loss. This is a wager where we add the events months in advance prior to the tournament starting, which is known as a futures pool.

GOLF
Available Bet Types: Spread Wagers, Money Line Wagers, Props, Straight Wagers, Parlays, Round Robins, Live Wagers, Futures
Dead Heat Rule: A dead heat refers to ties in finishing position bets like Top 5s, Top 10s and Top 20s, or other golf markets like 3-ball matchups and first-round leaders. When players tie, your wager amount is usually divided by how many players are tied for those spots. So, part of your bet is a loser, and the remainder is paid out at the original odds.
What you need to know:
When betting on the outright tournament winner, all wagers have action unless a player withdraws prior to the start of the tournament.
A golfer is deemed to have played once he or she has teed off. In the event of a player withdrawing or being disqualified after having teed off, wagers on that player will be lost.
If the start of a round is delayed, or if play during a round is suspended, all pending wagers will remain valid for 48 hours. If the postponement lasts more than 48 hours, all pending wagers will be voided.
If a tournament does not go the specified number of completed holes (usually 72) and is shortened by the tournament officials, the leader at the end of the number of holes specified by the officials will be the winner.
All settlements are based on results and statistics provided by the relevant league’s governing body.
Management reserves the right to amend any rulings based on any extenuating circumstances outside the scope of regular wagering environments.
SOCCER
Available Bet Types: Spread Wagers, Money Line Wagers, 3-Way Wagers, Total Points Wagers, Props, Straight Wagers, Parlays, Round Robins, Live Wagers, Futures
What you need to know:
Wagers will be decided on games with two halves scheduled for 45 minutes each and any time the referee adds to compensate for injuries and other stoppages (Regulation Time). It does not include periods of extra time nor penalty shootouts. Occasionally, tournaments, friendlies, or other matches may have time frames different than two 45-minute halves. If Saracen Resort does not announce this special playing time before the start of the game, all bets will be considered void and stakes returned. If in a game scheduled for two halves of 45 minutes each, a referee ends the game with an official result with time different than 2 halves of 45 minutes each, wagers will still have action. If a referee declares a game abandoned for any reason, wagers will be void and stakes returned.
Home and Away teams are listed differently in soccer. The Home team is always listed first, or above the Away team, which is listed second, or below.
Soccer kickoff dates and times displayed are an indication only and are not guaranteed to be correct. If a match does not start as scheduled and does not start the same day (local time of the match site) then wagers on the match will have no action and be voided. The exception being any wager on whether a team advances in a cup competition, or raises the cup, will have action regardless of a suspended or postponed match.
If the wagering offer on a match includes the draw as a third option (i.e., 3-Way Markets, Match Result, 1X2 Markets) and the match ends in a draw, wagers on the draw will be paid, while wagers on both teams will be lost.
All settlements are based on results and statistics provided by the relevant league’s governing body.
Management reserves the right to amend any rulings based on any extenuating circumstances outside the scope of regular wagering environments

Unless otherwise specified, Boxing matches must go within thirty days of the scheduled date for wagers to have action.
Venue changes within the same country will not affect the status of pending wagers. Venue changes to a different country will result in a grade of "no action" on all pending wagers.
If the number of scheduled rounds in a match is changed, the following wagers will have action: the match winner and draw options. "Match totals" & "will go / won't go" will have action if the updated scheduled rounds are more than the total listed on the proposition. Exact round of ending, fighters to win inside distance, win by decision, and goes the distance propositions will all be no action if scheduled rounds are changed or human error occurred.
Results will be graded based on the official result at ringside. A result may be revised or altered after the initial presentation by the ring announcer. For wagering purposes, results are not official until verified by officials at the fighting venue. Official or unofficial sanctioning body overturns of a fight decision based on appeal, suspension, lawsuit, drug testing result, or any other fighter sanction will not be recognized for wagering purposes.
Any fight that is deemed "no contest" will have all wagers refunded.
When the bell sounds to begin the first round, the bout will be considered official for betting purposes, regardless of the scheduled length or title.
If the wagering offer on a match includes the draw as a third option and the match ends in a draw, wagers on the draw will be paid, while wagers on both fighters will be lost. If the wagering offer includes only the two boxers, with the draw either not offered or offered as a separate proposition, and the match ends in a draw, wagers on either fighter will be refunded.

If a match venue is changed then bets already placed will stand providing the home team is still designated as such. If the home and away team for a listed match are reversed, then bets placed based on the original listing will be void.
If a match is affected by external factors (such as bad weather), we will settle your bet based on the official competition rule (this includes matches affected by a mathematical calculation such as the Duckworth-Lewis method (DL) or the Jayadevan system (VJD)*).
*Duckworth Lewis method / Jayadevan system- These are systems used to adjust the scores in the event of a rain delay during one-day matches, in order to leave the balance of the match unaltered. The systems use the number of overs each team has still to receive and the number of wickets they have in hand in order to reach an official result.
All settlements are based on results and statistics provided by the relevant league’s governing body.
Management reserves the right to amend any rulings based on any extenuating circumstances outside the scope of regular wagering environments
